ApexDesk is a free office suite written in Rust that packs six applications into one 70 MB program: documents, spreadsheets, presentations, PDF, databases, and notebooks. It opens in 0.2 seconds, uses 142 MB of memory with a document open, and runs entirely offline on Windows 10, 11, and Linux. The word processor handles styles, track changes, mail merge, and export to PDF, HTML, and EPUB. Spreadsheets include about 370 functions, pivot tables, goal seek, and built-in project planning with Gantt charts. Presentations support morph transitions and presenter view. The PDF app does real redaction, digital signatures (PAdES), and form filling. Databases connect to PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server, and notebooks link pages with [[ wiki-style links like Obsidian. No account, no cloud, no telemetry, no AI — your files never leave your computer. Works with Microsoft Office and LibreOffice formats.
